Due to the enormous amount of rain dumped by Tropical Storm Debby, track management decided in the best interest of our race teams, staff, advertising partners, and fans, to cancel the State Capital 150 presented by Pepsi Bottling Ventures.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused but obviously, we operate at the mercy of the weather.
Fans who bought advance tickets to the State Capital 150 through My Race Pass will receive full refunds.
We are working on a way to possibly add some of the missed races from the canceled August 9th race into existing race events scheduled through September 13th.
Missed races from August 9th might be added as "double-headers" (twin races) on one of the following dates:
AUGUST 16TH
AUGUST 24TH (CARS Tour)
AUGUST 30TH
SEPTEMBER 6TH
Another less favorable option might be to use September 20th as a final race event date since the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series points season ends on Sunday, September 22nd.
Race teams that were scheduled to compete during the (canceled) August 9th State Capital 150 presented by Pepsi, should be prepared to race on Friday, September 20th (IF) we decide it's necessary to add that date to the season schedule. (THERE ARE NO MORE RAIN DATES AVAILABLE BEFORE SEPTEMBER 20TH).
Divisions affected are:
CHARGERS
CHAMP KARTS
BOMBERS
LEGENDS
BANDOLEROS
We will give as much notice as possible before announcing any additional make-up race dates.
