THROWBACK NIGHT
Special Thanks to Our Sponsors
On Friday, August 19th, 2022 (before the Line-X 155) we honored former drivers, staff, and the racing families who helped build 60 years (and counting) of short track racing history at
Wake County Speedway.
This "Throwback Night" page serves as a place to remember a great evening of celebration and remembrance as we continue to build on the grassroots motorsports legacy first planted by the Simpkins family in 1962.
Soon, we hope to build a permanent display space to honor the drivers, race teams, and families who played a vital part in the building of the little race track on the red clay hill behind the Simpkins Garage. As our history continues, and with your support, we'd like to make our Throwback Night an annual event as we add more names and memories to "America's Favorite Bullring."
